Hi everyone!! I'm Vicky and this week I am the journalist. For that reason, I will tell you how this week has gone.
On Monday, Linda explained the instructions and we read the LMS, where the task was explained too. In addition, we had to read a chapter from a book about the relationships at school. It explains five different types: Teacher-student connection, Connection with peers, Connection within the learning context, Connections beyond the classroom and Connections within learning.
The task consisted of representing several performances with the purpose of showing each type of relationship and explaining them to our classmates. Any group didn't know who was going to act until Wednesday. In order to develop them, we have divided the work and each member of the group had to create a performance according to the type of relationship we had to read. Furthermore, all of us had to write a summary of the dialogue with the aim of informing what the theatre was about.
However, the organization was changed as Linda couldn't attend Wednesday’s class. Instead, we have had to record a video of each performance trying to participate the majority of the members of the group. It has been an exciting but, especially, useful activity because it has helped us to know and understand as teachers the connections and the complexity at school. To watch the videos, we have posted them on Youtube and we hope you like it!!
This week, we have chosen the following blogs:
From our classmates’ blogs - Teach Perfect. http://teachperfectum.blogspot.com.es/2018/04/key-concepts.html#comments
This is the comment: ‘‘Hi TeachPerfect!! From Teachers' Formation, we want to congratulate you for the hard work you do every week, the enthusiasm and the imagination you have for each task and how your blog looks like. We are hoping to see your videos about relationships at school!!’’
Another interesting blog from outside is: https://eduflow.wordpress.com/2013/09/13/positive-teacher-student-relationships/#comments
The post is about positive teacher-student relationships and how they affect to learners' motivation and academic attainment.
